Battlefield 6: 10 Ways EA Can Win Back The Fans

1. Better Management And Marketing

There are many games that have suffered at the hands of poor marketing, controversial decisions and unrealistic expectations, and games under the publication of EA are no exception.

More often than not, EA have proven that they can be their own worst enemy when it comes to the management or promotion of their games.

The underwhelming reveal trailer of Battlefield 5 sparked backlash from the Battlefield community, which resulted in the CEO of DICE, Patrick Söderlund stating that if fans did not like the aspect of women as frontline soldiers, they did not have to buy it.

Coincidentally, Söderlund would leave EA a month before the games launch, which would then go on to sell less copies than what was expected.

If EA seriously wants to win back the hearts and minds of Battlefield fans, then they must do a better job at handling criticism and feedback, warranted or otherwise. Perhaps a gesture of good faith like some free DLC every now and again could also sweeten the deal.

Time will tell if EA has learnt from their mistakes, as we get more info on Battlefield 6 this spring.
