2. Return To A Modern Setting

For the past few years there have been many rumours and wild speculations as to where the next Battlefield game will be set. But with the last two Battlefield games being set in World War 1 and World War 2, there are many reasons as to why a return to a modern setting would be a positive decision for Battlefield 6.

For starters, a modern setting means that there is less pressure to appease those who complain about historical accuracy when it comes to what weapons, locations and vehicles are used in the game.

Going one step further, it would also allow DICE to create fictional factions and scenarios that would result in a global conflict and enable them to make various maps set all over the world.

This would not only allow DICE to work in peace but could also encourage them to get more creative when it comes to map designs and gameplay elements.

Battlefield fans know how talented the DICE development team are and so it would be in EA’s best interest to give them as few restrictions as possible and give them the chance to choose a setting that lets them make the best Battlefield game possible.
