Before GTA 5: 5 Reasons You Should Still Be Playing San Andreas

1. Storyline

gta san andreas flyWarning: Spoilers Ahead In a plot that took CJ from his childhood home, to the bright lights of Las Venturas, and back again, San Andreas€™ story rarely had a dull moment. Returning from Liberty City after 5 years to mourn the death of his recently deceased mother, CJ crossed the entire state of San Andreas in order to exact revenge on the people responsible, some of whom were closer to home than he would€™ve originally expected. After finding out that childhood friends Big Smoke and Ryder were collaborating with Grove Street€™s Ballas rivals, CJ started his quest for revenge by being forced out of Los Santos into the San Andreas countryside by CRASH, before eventually working his way up to San Fierro, where he destroyed the crack factory of the Loco Syndicate, and killed his former friend Ryder. It was then to Las Venturas for our hero, as he was invited to the Four Dragons Casino by Wu Zi Mu, and there he stayed until he received the phone call about the release of his brother from jail. Then the story starts to reach it€™s thrilling finale, with Tenpenny controversially found innocent of the murder of former colleague Jimmy Hernandez due to lack of evidence, the 1992 Los Santos riots begin. CJ and his Grove Street allies re-establish the gang in Los Santos, before CJ takes his final revenge, infiltrating Big Smoke€™s crack palace and killing his former friend, before Carl and his brother chased down Tenpenny, resulting in his death as he crashed his stolen fire-engine off the Ganton Bridge. I have inevitably missed out some key plot points, but there really is too much content in the story to fully represent it in this article. The story is truly great, and to fill in the blanks, I would advise you to re-familiarise yourself with the lot by dusting off the game itself, and playing through the story. So if you€™re in need of some GTA action before the release of Rockstar€™s latest title in September, you wouldn€™t go far wrong if you dusted off your old copy of San Andreas. Have I missed any points? Or do you not agree that San Andreas is the best GTA game? Please feel free to leave a comment€
