Before GTA V: 20 Greatest Achievements In Grand Theft Auto IV

3. That Special Someone

GTA19 It's about bloody time, isn't it? By the time you get this achievement, you've been doing odd-jobs for miserable gangsters and crooked governmental figures in search for an "old friend." After all, you're looking for someone special. Once you get all of the tough stuff out of the way, you're told that Darko Brevic has been captured and will be dropped off at the Francis International Airport. You drive there with Roman and confront him, only to discover that he sold out Niko and the rest of their crew for $1,000. That's not a lot of dough to sell out your best friends. From there, you're given the option of executing Darko or letting him live. Both Darko and Roman make it clear that killing him would put him out of his misery. Darko: "Kill me then! You f*cking hypocrite. Trust me, you'll be doing me a favour!" Roman: "Niko - come on. Let's go. Let him suffer... he knows what he did. It doesn't look like he enjoys life too much." Whether you kill him or not, you get the trophy after you drop Roman off at Brucie's. Regardless, it's an incredibly emotional mission. No matter which fate you decide for Darko, you can feel the emotional tension in Niko. Perhaps the most famous line from GTA IV is during this mission. The intense moment when Niko shakes Darko, in a desperate attempt to remind him who he is. "I'm the one... who survived!" http://youtu.be/bZiy5qn6rbw

2. Join The Midnight Club

GTA20 In the case you do manage to wind up in multiplayer (whether you intentionally did it, or you missed the "Cheats" option in the phone), here's an interesting challenge for you. Seeing as how we all love to totally butcher the amazing sports cars we speed through Liberty City in, Rockstar challenges you to keep your car in one piece - or at least one nearly-complete piece. The specific "rules" are that you need to win a ranked multiplayer race without (get this) damaging your vehicle too much and with damage enabled." In other words, Rockstar just told you to do whatever the hell you want to win - just try not to ding up your car too much. I'm not sure exactly what that means. Perhaps they'll tolerate a few scratched? Maybe a dented bumper? Though I'm sure if you roll up to the finish line with the front wheel crooked and your whole front bumper and hood missing, chances are it won't count for the achievement. Nothing's stopping you from trying, though. Go on out to multiplayer and try winning yourself a nice gold trophy - just be careful how crazily you drive.
