13. GTA III: "The Exchange"

It isn't always the men who are the bad guys, as is evidenced in III by the seductive yet sadistic Catalina. First, she shot us and left us for dead, as the story of GTA III unfurled, now she is at it again, leaving us at the mercy of her gang of henchmen before making off in a helicopter. We manage to fight our way through the Colombian's before taking chase and catching up with her and the kidnapped Maria, of whom we had an on/off (mostly off) relationship with, at Cochrane Dam, before we blow her helicopter out of the sky with a rocket launcher and exit the scene with Maria, who desperately witters into our ears about how much she loves us etc. One of the coolest parts of this mission is its ambiguous ending. As the credits roll, we hear a solitary gun shot, leaving Maria's fate unknown. (We probably shot her, who wouldn't?)
