5. San Andreas Joins the HD Universe
http://youtu.be/RQzEN907XRs There are so many mods for San Andreas that counting is practically pointless. However some of the most fascinating mods I came across were the successful renderings that merged the RAGE engine with GTA: San Andreas, allowing the originally cartoonish game to enter what Rockstar refers to as the "High-Definition Universe" - a universe currently only occupied by GTA IV (along with TLaD and BoGT) and Chinatown Wars. While the game is not entirely rendered to look like a true RAGE-engine Grand Theft Auto game, the efforts do not go unnoticed. Most of the vehicles are rendered either entirely, or have been replaced by vehicles from GTA IV. Pedestrians are replaced by GTA IV peds, however most other features remain graphically improved and given the RAGE physics (e.g. vehicle handling, character movement, etc.). Overall, this mod is definitely worth checking out.
