Before GTA V: 7 Greatest GTA PC Mods Ever Made

3. GTA: The Day After Tomorrow

http://youtu.be/m7sVj2XnSWM One thing GTA fans have always wished for was weather - something slightly more than thunder storms. While most true gamers understand the developmental complexity of adding weather features such as snow and flooding to a game as massive as a GTA game, we wonder if Rockstar has ever considered and/or experimented with it. (Will we perhaps see more diverse weather in GTA 5?) Some modders take advantage of this, however, and create their own weather for the game. Some go so far as to fill the entire city with snow and ride around on a snowmobile. Seeing as Liberty City is a miniature version of New York, recreating The Day After Tomorrow requires much less modification of the city itself. The statue of happiness becomes nothing more than a head and wrist, and the rest of the city is almost entirely covered. Perhaps one of the most "realistic" things about this mod is that the snow is not level - it has movement, with hills and ditches, that create a more natural feel than a flat snowy surface. It's an amazing mod.
