5. If I Had A Hammer (Episode 1: A New Day)

http://youtu.be/tYCwqjb0uEM If you were caught up in the initial Walking Dead Game buzz that came before the first episode was released, you'll no doubt have seen this moment play out a hundred times. And while true, since then it might have lost some of its original dramatic impact, it's still one of the great moments in The Walking Dead Game. Quite simply, this is another one of those timed quick time events, activated after you've searched Clementine's house in episode 1. It's the second major zombie encounter in the entire game and for me, it's still one of the most memorable thanks in part to how flat out disgustingly gory it is. Telltale really didn't hold back on the violence, and this is one of the first moments to fully iterate that fact. How It Affects The Story In one major way. It introduces Lee Everett to Clementine (with the passing of a claw hammer) and in effect acts as the inciting incident for the entire story. From that point on, Lee, realising that Clem is not safe, chooses to take her welfare as his problem, in many ways because what else could he do?
