10. WWF War Zone
In 1998, WWF War Zone became the first 3D wrestling title, and along with the fact that the graphics were motion captured, was considered to be the most realistic wrestling game at the time. It was released onto the Game Boy, PlayStation and N64, the latter of which featured high resolution 640x480 character models. WWF War Zone was the first wrestling game to allow players to create a superstar, which has since become a main feature in wrestling titles today. Vince McMahon and Jim Ross were the commentators, interestingly, and the game was unique for its momentum system which was built up by using a varied move set. Momentum would decrease and the crowd would boo should you use the same move too often, resulting in the omentum shifting back to your opponent. The crowd would then chant for the wrestler with the most momentum, and during this period, the damage you could inflict on your opponent was multiplied.
