Bethesda Shows Off Dishonored Debut Trailer

The Dishonored debut trailer is here.

Dishonored is a game that we have heard little about, but from what we have learned about the game has created some major buzz. Dishonored is a first person assassination game set in a Steampunk world, where you will have the different tools and powers at your disposal. The game is actually being developed by a combination of staff members whose previous work experiences include Deus Ex, Thief, Half-Life 2 and Dark Messiah. Here is the debut trailer for Dishonored: http://youtu.be/E1HlYTukh9A Bethesda also made a statement on the game:
"Dishonored is an immersive first-person action game that casts you as a supernatural assassin driven by revenge. Creatively eliminate your targets with the flexible combat system as you combine the numerous supernatural abilities, weapons and unusual gadgets at your disposal. Pursue your enemies under the cover of darkness or ruthlessly attack them head on with weapons drawn. The outcome of each mission plays out based on the choices you make. Dishonored is set for release on the Xbox 360®, PlayStation®3 and PC in 2012"
After watching the trailer I can definitely say my excitement level for the game has risen quite a bit, however I would like to see some actual gameplay in the next trailer because CGI trailers can be very misleading. Also with how little we know about the game, coupled with how little Bethesda has shown of the game I have serious doubts that this game will be released this year. I mean it was just announced Halo 4 will be out on November 6th plus Activision will announce a new Call of Duty game in November, and both October and September are already packed with major releases. In other words, I don't think Bethesda will release a brand new IP right next to all the other major releases coming later this year; so 2013 is probably a safer bet for when Dishonored will be released.
