10. IGN Clearly Hires Idiots To Play Demos
I have never really publicly voiced my disdain for the mainstream circle of gaming journalism, but now seems more a pertinent time than ever. A few months ago, IGN played a demo build of Beyond and criticised the game mechanics heavily, even going as far as calling it unplayable. I really doubt that this game underwent drastic changes within two months, so I was admittedly prepared for some wonkiness. Except me, my brother, my friends, and so on had no problems playing the damn game, and if you stick around reading this article, youll see that the game is shaping up rather remarkably. Maybe IGN needed waypoints, constant on-screen instructions, and the difference between left and right explained or something, because theres nothing fundamentally wrong with this game.
