Big AEW Video Game Update: Release Date Revealed?!

The latest on AEW's upcoming video game - including the targeted release date.

All Elite Wrestling is targeting a release date of sometime in September for its upcoming video game, reports Fightful Select.

While nothing is set in stone yet, and AEW is yet to make an official announcement, the team are tentatively targeting the above. Fightful's report notes, however, that there is still a lot of work to be done on the project.

The outlet first heard that the long-awaited console game might end up being released sooner rather than later after an AEW talent suggested that they might have debuted for the promotion too late to be included. Such things have been commonplace in wrestling games for years, with WWE's recent 2K22 release featuring a particularly outdated roster (including several wrestlers released over the past year).

It should be stressed, again, that there is no guarantee of the game releasing in September. This is just a target. An announcement may be forthcoming soon if things go well, however, though much could change between now and September.

AEW's console game is expected for release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. It follows AEW's first two games, Elite GM and Casino" Double Or Nothing, which came out on mobile platforms in 2020.
