Bioshock Infinite: 8 Reasons Why It's Incredible

bioshockinfinite1 The word game changer has been bandied around when ever people have been talking about their anticipation for Bioshock Infinite. A game changer in terms of FPS, a game charger for single player based games, a game changer for the entirety of the medium. Concepts like that are often only decided by sales, but allow me to give you my own two cents. And those two cents say that it is great. It is a gaming experience that can stand on the shoulders of the medium, despite a few of its flaws. Your stay on Columbia will be rife with wonder and be almost always be enthralling. Here I will try and chronicle the reasons why the game is more than worth your time.

8. Songbird

One of the major focuses of the games marketing was the inclusion of the Songbird. While you will have only seen glimpses of the creature in trailers and such, I am happy to report that the creature ives up to its potential. Created to protect Elizabeth on Monument Island, the Songbird is one of the most intriguing and well realised video game monsters in recent memory. Obviously being tasked with keeping Elizabeth within her tower and the lead character Booker DeWitt tasked with stealing her away, you have a conflict of interests that come to a head several times throughout the game. And each and every encounter is memorable. Having seen posters for the creature all over Columbia before hand, it adds a wonderful air of mystery around the creature that comes to a head when you finally encounter him. What follows is one of the best chase sequences in gaming, and it is positively exhilarating. On top of being a visual feast that will make you wonder how a console processor can handle it, being chased by a big leather-bound bird adds an intense sense of urgency. I got goosebumps and that doesn't happen often when playing games.
