Black Ops 2: 5 Reasons Multiplayer Will Be Game-Changing

2. New Score Streak System

As well as the wholly rebuilt Create-a-Class system that we will discuss shortly, Treyarch have completely re-thought a new Score Streak System, the system designed to reward more aspects of play than previous games and promote and reward those who achieve the objectives in each game mode. Every time the player reaches a set score requirement they will unlock a specific Streak reward, with scores based on kills, captures and plants, as well as special plays like defending an objective or scoring a double kill. Points mean prizes, though death brings a reset. The included Score Streak rewards, which can be seen in the rather fuzzy image above, include new items from the game's near-future setting like the Guardian high-powered microwave dish that stuns enemies or the Wasp quadrotor drone, as well as old, updated favourites. The fill Streak list reads as follows: RC-XD UAV Hunter Killer Care Package Counter UAV Guardian Hellstorm Missile Lightning Strike Death Machine Sentry Gun War Machine Dragonfire AGR Stealth Chopper Orbital VSAT Escort Drone Warthog EMP Systems Lodestar Vtol Warship K9 Unit Swarm Particularly eye-catching are the AGR or Autonomous Ground Robot which immediately goes to work taking down the enemy as soon as it lands, but which can be taken over by the player at any point, remotely piloting the drone themselves against opponents. There's also the Hellstorm Missile which players can guide to its target, choosing to either destroy one spot, or use it as a cluster bomb to take out multiple targets. and can hit one spot or disperse a cluster of bombs to try and take out multiple enemies. Overall there's a lot to be excited about, including updated versions of all favourites like the Death Machine, which may be harder to earn but which is a more substantial reward, with players able to keep the devastating mini-gun for the duration of its massive ammunition supply. And of course it's key to remember that Score Streaks are designed to reward players, but the best and most valuable rewards will be handed out to the most skilled players.
