Bloodborne REMASTER: 7 Things It Must Improve
1. New Game +
Bloodborne's New Game + is wildly disappointing.
Bright eyed and bushy tailed, a new player just finishing the campaign and being offered the harder New Game + would jump at the chance to play again and see the implied effects of their endgame decisions.
However, the game doesn't change at all. Your decision bares no effect on the citizens of Yharnam, and the game gives you no reward for completion.
For thematic reasons, of course it makes sense as it plays into the cyclic nature of the story. But in a game built around intriguing lore and difficult combat, knowing exactly what is coming up and how to beat it isn't very fun.
Having at least some changes for a New Game + mode would be greatly appreciated in this hypothetical remaster. Maybe a randomly generated element or new areas to be found after the end which go into more lore detail. Especially considering how brutal this game can be to complete, having no reward apart from the chance to play again is a little bit of a kick in the teeth.
