Bottom 10 Most Underrated Games of All Time

8. Freedom Fighters (Xbox, PS2, Gamecube, PC)

Few things are as easy to pull off as making a game about the US being invaded by Soviet Russia. Throw together an alternate time line, add some dramatic orchestra music, toss in a few AK-47s and a statue or two of Lenin and BAM, you've got a game. And to that end, Freedom Fighters didn't really do anything all that special. It was, in essence, a videogame version of Red Dawn set in the early 2000's. What Freedom Fighters did do though was make an amazing squad based 3rd person shooter with a solid narrative, believable characters, and a combat system that gave the perfect mix of fun and realism. Yeah, it was actually all of that. What the game didn't include was a decent revenue. Critics almost unanimously rated the title in the 9/10 range, but it never got the sales it deserved. The game did enjoy a moderate amount of sales on PC, but the console versions of the game just couldn't hack it against games like Halo and GTA, which were absolutely dominating the market at the time.
