Call of Duty: 10 Personality Flaws It Forces You To Deal With

5. Addiction

I dread to think how many hours I've pumped into the Call of Duty series over the last five years; it must total several hundred hours for sure, and that's because these games are so freaking addictive! The relative simplicity combined with the incentivised leveling system, vast array of weapons and maps and competitive spirit makes it easy to spend a whole evening just blasting people to bits. Call of Duty has enabled the FPS genre to enter the legendarily Crack-like realm that was previously reserved only for MMO games like World of Warcraft; CoD, with its RPG-like progression system, captures the same feeling because it constantly feels like you're actually moving towards something. I have no doubt that countless relationships have ended because of CoD the world over, its vice-like grip acting as the gaming equivalent of Heroin. In short, if you have an addictive personality, do not play this game. Not even once.
