Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3 Beta - 12 Things You Need To Know

1. The Futuristic Stuff Is Getting A Bit Tiring

Since 2012's Black Ops II, science fiction has increasingly figured into the series, what with insane futuristic weaponry being introduced and a time period increasingly distant from our own. BO3 takes this one step further by setting the action largely in 2065, and in honesty, with four straight games containing a number of off-the-wall technological elements, it's started to all blur together and feel strangely samey. While World War II games have pretty much been done to death and a return there seems unlikely, revisiting something a little more plausible might not be such a bad thing for the next game. Maybe dial back the ridiculous suits and robots and instead set it in the modern day with proprietary technology. It'll do for now, but with franchise fatigue having already set in for some, this relentless focus on the future is getting a little dull. That said, Infinity Ward could go full sci-fi for the next game and set it in space... Have you played the Black Ops III Beta yet? What do you think? Will you be buying the full game in November?
