Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 - 8 Infuriating Issues Treyarch Must Fix

1. That Damn Hit Detection & The Jump Glitch

Fixing this to a satisfying degree is fundamentally key as to whether Black Ops 4 will be remembered as a "good COD", or "another one where the hit detection ruined everything."

Sadly, Treyarch's entries in the franchise always seem to have some issue with player tracking, yet this year's feels arguably worse than ever. A quick search online will show a menagerie of gunfights where entire clips are dumped into players, only for them to whip around and return-kill in one shot.

The reason? Server sync. You didn't REALLY have a bead on that player, nor did those shots actually go into their body. Once the game has crunched its data, they actually had the drop on you the whole time.

Then there's the jump glitch. Shown above, it comes from how jumping and maintaining horizontal movement seems to affect how Black Ops 4 locates your soldier's exact position. If done right, you can see other players around corners before they see you, completely breaking the game.

Take all these things together, and though Black Ops 4 is a phenomenal game when everything works, it begs the question as to why these rough edges still persist.
