Ruin's combo of grapple hook'ing around levels to gain vantage points and his shockwave ground n' pound really shouldn't work, but absolutely does. Even at first look, back at the game's debut, he looked far too "superheroic" for his own good, but in practice, both powers compliment each other very well.

Thanks to Treyarch mediating the cooldown on his grappling hook so Ruin isn't constantly flying across levels, a good player can balance momentum with standard firepower, never feeling overly cheap, but forever building that Gravity Slam finisher.

Perhaps a sign of things to come in regards to future Specialists being suitably "ridiculous" too, at least for now, Ruin is a blast.
