Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 Review - 8 Ups & 4 Downs
7. Time-To-Kill Is Massively Improved
A consistent complaint about the Call of Duty games is that the time-to-kill is too low, to the point that you can be mowed down within a nanosecond of your brain processing an enemy player's arrival.
Thankfully Black Ops 4 features the longest TTK of any recent CoD game, with player health being raised to 100 and even portioned out into a number of sectors, giving you a visual indicator of how close you are to offing an enemy.
This changes how players will approach gunplay immeasurably, and more than anything it creates a more competitive feel to shooting: there's no longer the guarantee you'll win a shootout simply by aiming first.
One suspects this change was made to accommodate more casual players lured in by the Battle Royale mode, but for those of us who aren't ADD-addled teenagers anymore, stepping away from the series' tendency for twitch shooting is very much welcome.
