Call Of Duty: Black Ops - Cold War: 10 Tips & Tricks To Get Better In Multiplayer
2. Try Your Hand At Pre-firing:
Now I know this sounds like something only the professional Call of Duty players do, but it's actually a lot easier than it looks and has far more to do with feel than anything else. After playing for a respectable amount of time and experiencing the ins-and-outs of the various multiplayer maps, you'll find yourself learning where the different choke points of each map are. With this knowledge in mind, you'll be able to guess where players are most likely to be, especially at the very start of the game.
Before making yourself known at the selected choke point, start out slowly by pre-aiming and strafing into sight. Since you've saved yourself some time your enemies will be on the back foot and likely lose to you if you end up hitting your shots. When comfortable with pre-aiming, take the next step and start firing before you strafe into sight. Although this strategy can result in you wasting precious ammo, the positives outweigh the negatives. There's a reason the pros do it, after all.
And finally, if you want to truly master the skill of pre-firing, make sure you've kitted yourself out with an enemy painting tactical tool like the UAV or field mic. By seeing where enemies are on your mini-map you'll be accused of hacking in no time, which is a badge of honor received by only the best of players.
