CALL OF DUTY ELITE Going Hollywood

Ridley Scott, Will Arnett, Jason Bateman and Ben Silverman among the movie stars & directors creating "exclusive episodic entertainment" for the franchise.

Activision announced today that some big name Hollywood talent will be helping create content for Call of Duty Elite. The biggest name on the list would be Ridley Scott who directed Alien, Blade Runner and Gladiator. Some of the other people who will be creating "exclusive episodic entertainment" for the Call of Duty franchise are "Will Arnett, Jason Bateman, Ben Silverman".
"Just like any other passion that people spend a lot of their free time doing, Call of Duty players share a common language and a common experience, and we think we can create some entertainment content that they will love and talk about and share."
This was all the information given at this time; we don't know what type of content or if the content that is created will be available outside the Elite Call of Duty subscription package. To me this just seems like a ploy to get more people to join Elite ($5 a month U.S.) and I still don't think it is worth it, unless you are a hardcore Call of Duty fan. The other thing is when Hollywood people are brought in to work on video games it rarely ever turns out to be a positive thing. Are you excited about this announcement or do you have no interest in Call of Duty Elite?
