Call Of Duty: Every Game Ranked From Worst To Best
15. Call Of Duty: Ghosts
1274836Ghosts should have been great: it debuted on new consoles and had no excuse not to use the new technology to the fullest. Unfortunately, Infinity Ward dropped the ball somewhat, releasing a fairly tired game with a painful lack of innovation in the campaign mode and fatally not taking advantage of the visual advances at all.
This was definitely a low point for campaign longevity of play: it clocked in at an insulting four hours for anyone who would be bothered to play it, recycling ideas and feeling very much like a perfunctory tag-on for the multiplayer, which was admittedly a lot better.
Activision may have an excuse in the fact that they didn't know what the next-gen consoles could do, but Ghosts is probably even more critically disappointing because of what it could have been had the developers really flexed their muscles.
