Call Of Duty: Every Treyarch Zombies Map Ranked From Worst To Best
17. Shi No Numa
As much as this was the third Zombies map ever released, this is where the story really began. A change of scenery from enclosed, dark maps didn't make the experience less creepy however.
Not only were we introduced to 'Tank' Dempsey, Nikolai Belinski, Takeo Masaki, and Edward Richtofen, we were also given our first taste of the Hellhounds, the Wunderwaffe DG2, and perk locations being randomised.
With the natural hazards of mud and water slowing you down against the ever-accelerating hordes made being chased around the Rising Sun facility even more terrifying. With the introduction of the Zombies lore, it wasn't a trickle, it was a bucket of ice-cold water to the system.
Suddenly the mystery of the folk behind Shi No Numa (later revealed to be the aforementioned Division 9) and whispers of Group 935 brought this once 'mini-game' mode into the spotlight. Fans were hungry for more.
