Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare Review - 6 Ups & 6 Downs

2. It Actually Uses The PS4's Controller Speaker

This is an odd one, but a good one. Any PS4 owner will know how little most games use the controller's in-built speaker: it's a glorified gimmick that developers generally can't be bothered with, but Infinite Warfare actually makes excellent use of it.

In the campaign, it's used for various squad dialogues coming in over the radio as well as environmental noises around you, while in multiplayer the game countdown clock plays through the controller speakers, as well as the "level up" sound effect and various other cool riffs.

Sure, it doesn't make the game what it is by any means, but it's nevertheless welcome use of a feature that rarely gets a look-in these days.
