Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare - 10 Ways Multiplayer Is COMPLETELY Different

3. Killstreaks Are Back

Speaking of the UAV, you might have noticed I used the term "killstreak" as opposed to "scorestreak", which is what the rewards and buffs like the UAV have been known as since Modern Warfare 3, but that wasn't a mistake.

In their attempt to recapture the nostalgia of the original Modern Warfare games, Infinity Ward are reintroducing the classic killstreak system, with old favourites like the predator missile being mixed in with new additions, like a white phosphorous attack.

Though the switch from rewarding only kills to rewarding a player's overall score was a noble attempt to get people playing the objective, it didn't really work, and only diluted the impact of gaining those tide-turning deployments. Them returning in all their glory should be a great shift - especially with the tease of the nuke returning which closed out the trailer.
