Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare - 10 Ways Multiplayer Is COMPLETELY Different
2. New Game Modes Compliment Remixed Classics
While other franchises have moved on, Call of Duty has managed to constantly make multiplayer staples like Team Deathmatch feel fresh, relying on its combat and level design to reinvent an archaic game mode year after year.
While it wouldn't be a COD sequel without these staples being front and centre of the experience, Infinity Ward have attempted to shake things up, particularly by increasing the player count in modes that otherwise mainly supported under 10 players on each side. It's a minor change, but it should ensure series veterans don't feel too alienated with the new direction.
Other modes have been specifically designed for this new take on Modern Warfare though. The Ground War game type mentioned earlier has undergone the biggest alteration, now boasting up to 100 players. Even better, this isn't just going to be another version of battle royale like Blackout, but a proper new game mode exclusive to Modern Warfare.
Infinity Ward aren't throwing out what works, but rather beefing up the foundations that are already there.
