Call Of Duty: WWII - 10 Classic Multiplayer Maps That Should Return

3. Crossfire

Call Of Duty Hijacked
Infinity Ward

Crossfire is a diamond in the rough that's often overlooked for appreciation in favour of Modern Warfare's other (we'll get to those soon enough) locales. Granted, it doesn't spoil your eyeballs with the visual variance of, say, Chinatown, but it more than makes up for that dreary colour palette with God-tier level design.

A play on the traditional three-lane format, Crossfire has but one direct route from one end to the other, but you'll never catch another taking a stroll down its cracked and fragmented road - this deserted path is dominated by a match-long game of 'who's the better sniper?'

While egos clash there, teammates must flank on either side and sweep buildings for any hostiles either camping or questing toward putting a bullet between the eyes of the enemy sniper.

Simple, versatile and timeless: Crossfire represents Infinity Ward at its best. Every potential negative is accounted for here, even down to using a Z-shape for the playable space in order to avert spawn-killing nightmares.
