Grand Theft Auto is one of the most successful video game franchises of all time - people are still buying GTA V, somehow - in large part due to the series' consistently entertaining slew of characters.
Over the last 20+ years, GTA has blessed players with some of the most hilarious and even deceptively deep characters in video game history, whether protagonists, sidekicks, or even villains.
And of course, the esteem of Rockstar's open-world shooter series has invited a ton of A-list talent over the years - most memorably, Ray Liotta and Samuel L. Jackson in Vice City and San Andreas respectively - lending even greater personality to GTA's massive roster of heroes, criminals, and degenerates.
