CTR: Nitro-Fueled Hands-On - 7 Ups & 2 Downs
3. The Original Score, Sound Effects & Voice Lines Are Authentically Updated
Another thing that exemplifies just how much of a footprint CTR left on the industry is through sound.
The game's sound effects and menu themes are one thing, but even the small drum roll/trumpet flurry that plays before you take control is exactly the same. Character soundbites are also spot on, with things like Cortex yelling, "The trophy's mine!" and N. Gin's "One for the road!" being present and correct.
Sadly, Ripper Roo's inane chattering has been toned down, but I must be in the minority of those who liked their Roo being as utterly ridiculous as possible.
Though the world is yet to see the Adventure mode or even the game's main menus, rest assured the original score must've been on rotation at Beenox HQ, as Nitro-Fueled sounds like its ancestor from top to bottom.
