If you have been keeping up to date with the latest episodes of Night City Wire and interviews with the games lead developers, then you will know that Cyberpunk 2077 is an RPG, meaning that some decisions you make could have unforeseen consequences that end up either hurting or helping your progress in the game.
In other words, this means that it is probably not a good idea to blast through certain districts of the city on a whim, as this could result in getting on the bad side of some very powerful people.
But players would be lying to themselves if they said they had never considered testing the NCPD and the gangs by seeing how responsive they are to their actions.
