Cyberpunk 2077: 10 Ways It Will Change RPGs Forever

3. NEVER Leaving Gameplay

In a game like Cyberpunk immersion is incredibly important, which is unfortunately where most RPGs go wrong. We all know how it feels to be lost in a game, only to have that immersion broken by the screen fading to black and being replaced by an NPC who stares at you blankly until a dialogue option is chosen. The fluidity of these transitions have always been a bit problematic.

But luckily for us, it looks like Cyberpunk is taking a swing at correcting this RPG tradition by incorporating the use of dialogue into the gameplay itself.

Rather than being forced into a separate cutscene, you'll be presented with available dialogue options whenever you approach an NPC who has something to say. And if you're too busy to talk at that moment, don't stress, as you won't even need to select a 'leave conversation' option. Simply walk away and continue with whatever business you might have.

Participating in engaging dialogue while still being able to loot a room is the type of freedom we have been asking for since the beginning of time, so it's definitely a welcome gameplay feature that Cyberpunk is introducing.
