Many fans had been eager to learn just how much their backstory will play into the overall experience and it seems like there is more to it than just a few dialogue options.

Entirely new situations and characters can be present during the playthrough of either the Nomad, Street-Kid, or Corpo.

Weber uses the level from the first full-length gameplay demo as an example. In it, we saw V partaking in some illegal substances to make friends with the notorious Maelstrom gang.

This interaction with one of the characters is entirely unique to the Street-Kid as the others would not necessarily know what the substance was.

While the Corpo or Nomad would be offered the choice to take part, only the Street-Kid has the knowledge and experience to talk shop with the shady stranger afterward.

While Jackie appears to be the joyful glue that sticks each of the life paths together, the footage shows off some of the characters which seem to be tied to specific paths. A fixer named Padre, several Arasaka higher-ups, and a mysterious female Nomad all make their debut appearances in this Night City Wire.
