4. Takedowns (Contextual & Lethal/Non-Lethal)
What's a sci-fi shooter without some gruesome kills? Even back in 2013 we saw an augmented woman with blade arms, sitting in the middle of the street as she was executed. Well, now it seems you can use these blades for kills, though the takedowns shown at the start of the demo are more routed in gunfire and chokeholds.
Interestingly, after V chose to take out their target, we see an animation where the foe is dunked underwater and shot - something that could only happen in that specific context. Unless we're going to see a series of scenarios where NPCs are always dangling their heads over tanks of water, you have to believe CDPR have designed scores of contextual kills for the duration of the game.
As I'll get onto later, every NPC matters, inasmuch as you can jack into their minds and extract files or affect the game world. Taking someone out means less risk, but you're also changing the very way the level plays out with every kill.
