2. The Cost Of Humanity

In Cyberpunk 2020, when designing your character and choosing which augments you want to start with, the latter affects your "Humanity".

This dice roll factors into everything from conversations to combat, but in 2077, it looks like you'll actually have to surrender some of your "humanity" to access and equip the more meaningful/body-affecting mods many hours in.

Swapping out your eyes looks like a standard procedure, but the likes of the Scavs have replaced their entire craniums for goggles and wires, giving off one hell of a look.

Just how much will you want to sacrifice your own humanity to get ahead or get the best gear? It'll be up to you.

Also take note: None of the higher-end Corporation-types are anywhere near as modded as those lower down the hierarchy. Who's to say that hacking your own body to bits won't put you in a bad light with those you've been chasing all along?
