7. Study An Enemy Carefully
Every enemy in Dark Souls 2 is uniquely designed. They all have their own attack patterns, deadly abilities and will require some serious studying before you can confidently cut through them like butter. What's important to remember is that absolutely anything in Dark Souls 2 can kill you. Even the lowliest enemies in the game can be particularly deadly if underestimated and I myself have died repeatedly at the hands of these enemies. Over time, and possibly repeated deaths, you'll learn to anticipate what an enemy will do and when the best time to attack is. Many enemies can be attacked from the back for a special critical hit move; learning to perform this is a great way to deal loads of damage if its possible. Just be wary here - many enemies in DS2 now can attack behind them, making backstabs much more difficult. This again ties into being patient. You have to learn how an enemy works to know how to exploit it in the Dark Souls universe and doing so will lead you to victory after victory.
