4. Champion Gundyr

More often than not, reusing bosses later on in the game is a terrible idea.

However, Champion Gundyr is an example of doing that right. Exponentially harder than Iudex Gundyr, the Champion version also has access to multiple new combos meaning that he can surprise the player with more attacks than they expect. On top of that, he is more aggressive, rarely leaving the player alone and doesn't have the same second phase as Iudex.

Some could write the Champion of as cheap, but it's likely that the Champion is the intended experience for fighting that boss. All in all, the Champion is fun and intense and doesn't cheapen the original encounter.
