Another staple of zombie fiction comes from the constant paralleling of humanity's actions versus that of the undead. "Who's really braindead?" and "Who's really devoid of humanity?" are constant themes in everything from Dawn of the Dead to The Walking Dead, and Dead Rising is no different.

Granted, its tone is far lighter than the aforementioned two properties, but that idea of seeing what certain individuals - or humanity overall - would get up to once the societal shackles are off has been front and centre since the original.

For Dead Rising 4, these 'Psychopath' characters are far more grounded, yet still play into the various aspects surrounding the downfall of society and social norms. It forces you to reassess how you'd behave in such a scenario, and where your priorities would lie, all of which is a very important part of any zombie-based story.
