Death Stranding: 26 Easter Eggs, Secrets & References You Must Find

Hideo Kojima's Death Stranding is finally in players' hands, and if you've been able to sink much time into it yourself, you'll know that it both lives up to the wild expectations of any Kojima joint, and will likely alienate as many players as it entertains.

But whether you're a fan of the game's wilfully laboured traversal gameplay or not, there's no denying the insane amount of meticulous care Kojima has put into every facet of its creation.

And as usual for one of his games, there are a ton of Easter eggs and cute references hidden throughout the epic world, from nods to some of Kojima's own favourite movies and video games, to an inevitable treasure trove of callbacks to his Metal Gear Solid franchise.

Death Stranding's world is so incredibly vast that it'll be a while before the entirety of the game's content is uncovered, but this is what we've found so far.

The overwhelming majority of the Easter eggs aren't spoiler-specific, though beware that some mid-game spoilers will follow if you haven't made it that far yet...
