Destiny 2: 10 Big Fixes & Improvements It Must Make
3. Regular Content Updates
Bungie's post-launch plans for Destiny didn't exactly go according to plan.
What began as a strong statement of intent with its House of Wolves and The Dark Below expansions somehow began to taper off around the early stages of 2015. A noticeable content drought followed the latter's launch, an empty void that was eventually filled with The Taken King.
Fortunately, Oryx's quest to avenge the death of his dear son Crota ended up improving on almost every facet of Destiny's playbook, but a handful of throwaway limited-time events later, and the same problem had surfaced once more. Last year's Rise of Iron followed, but it had considerably less meat on the bone than its predecessor, making its status as a stop-gap expansion immediately obvious.
The current sit-rep then is that all of Destiny's DLC has a high benchmark in terms of quality - there's just simply not enough of it. Other developers have been brought on board for Destiny 2 in order to help the process along, so fingers crossed it'll have more than enough manpower to churn out frequent, meaningful updates.
