2. What This Logo Means

Though in any other game this would be a save symbol or an indication of loading, both Destiny games have small Ghost icons pop up if there's something in the immediate vicinity you can scan.

Weirdly, the game never tells you this, but when the logo pops up, hit your Touchpad (PS4) or Change View (Xbox One) button, and you'll see your own Ghost is looking in a particular direction.

Simply follow this to find any number of 'scannable' items; small narrated pieces of lore like banners or broken down pieces of machinery that will further tell you the history of Destiny's world.

This also works in the game's social spaces, so when in doubt, get your Ghost out!
