1. How To Unlock A TON More Content

In a weird reversal of where we last left off with Destiny (considering the state of its world and array of activities with all the DLC plugged in), Destiny 2 actually strips all of this away to only the story, Crucible, Adventure side missions and public events. At least for a good 10 hours so, anyway.

To unlock the rest of the game - Strikes, Raids, daily challenges, Flashpoint public events, High Value Targets, Patrols, replaying campaign missions and more - you need to complete the story.

Various game modes get teased or see one-off events across the story itself, but you'll only really have access to the breadth of content Destiny 2 has on offer by getting through the entirety of the Red War narrative.

Basically, don't focus entirely on Crucible or spending too much time exploring Lost Sectors. Rattle through the story and then get to ping-ponging between everything else.
