Destiny 2: 9 Leaked Details & Speculations You Need To Know
3. There Will Be A Summer Beta With A Fall Release
With the immense success that was Destiny's beta, there's no surprise that Bungie will be doing the same for Destiny 2.
The beta for Destiny saw over 4.5 million players log on with close to 1 million concurrent users at its peak. The beta ran for 10 days with one day being devoted to maintenance and another four of those days exclusive to PlayStation owners.
Just as they did with the first beta, Destiny 2 will have a "summer beta." Even if there is no information on when exactly it will be other than summer, you can probably expect it to drop in mid July just the previous game did. It also would not be a shock to anyone if PS4 owners received a couple extra days in the beta just as they did for the first game. Players can gain access to the beta by pre-ordering the game or by simply waiting for it to become available to the public. Those who wait will more than likely see less time inside the beta however.
Bungie, the stickler for repetition that they are, will be releasing Destiny 2 September 8. This will follow along with the September release window all major Destiny instalments and expansions have followed.
