Destiny: 9 Reasons Even Hardcore Players Are Giving Up

8. Crucible Matches Don't Feel Competitive

Many guardians steer clear of the Crucible as they feel like it isn't rewarding enough, and seeing a player who gets a 0.1 K/D fly off with an exotic is a right kick in the spuds.

Looking past that, it really isn't competitive - no separate levels or leaderboards - its only purpose is for players to grind their weekly Crucible marks - other than that it's an area where guardians can run about with the Thorn, Efrideet's Spear, and Jolder's Hammer.

Many players still love the Crucible, but for the hardened guardian they may look for other ways to enjoy it, such as a PvP only character, or killing people who use the Vex Mythoclast with the Khvostov 7G-02 (starter weapon).

A game mode where everyone has to use a set class, similar to the way Halo used to, would at least make it feel competitive because at the moment it's as boring as Peter Dinklage's voice acting.
