There was a time across the 2000s where every game under the sun had a 'slow motion mode' of some sort, so thank the gaming gods (or Arkane Studios) for making it an incredibly cool gameplay feature.

Good for pausing the action and getting around or behind guards, slinking past turrets and sentries or stopping explosions before they can cause any damage, sometimes you just want to halt an enemy's projectiles in mid-air, saunter underneath them and deliver a swift stab to the chin before they even know what's happened.
