7. The Art Design Of Hell Looks Incredible

Merging science fiction with Hell creates unlimited artistic opportunities. Hell in particular has been represented in so many different and intriguing ways, Doom included. While the originals featured some more classical hellish imagery, including fire, occult symbolism, and butchered bodies, this new Doom, while not reinventing itself completely, is slated to go in a different direction. Rock n€™ roll and heavy metal were the inspiration this time around. Instead of presenting it in the more traditionally religious sense, Hell is depicted as a massive, mountainous landscape; think Mordor on steroids. There are demons as tall as skyscrapers, the bodies of which can be found littering the landscape. There are rivers of blood, and an everlasting storm blackens the sky. It€™s a much more fantastical and grand presentation that wisely separates itself from its religious connotations. But of course that doesn€™t mean this version of Hell will be less disturbing and grotesque. In fact, it looks like Doom will be taking the blood and gore to a whole new level€
