Dragon Age Inquisition: 10 Reasons It's Saved The Franchise
10. Freedom
If there's one thing that Dragon Age: Inquisition represents for the franchise, and Bioware in general, it's freedom. The sandbox environments, increased movement options and high impact of player choices all make Inquisition feel like the most open game the developers have ever released. From the moment you step into the first major area in Inquisition, it's clear that a lot has changed from a design perspective. Bioware's games have traditionally taken place in a series of many smaller segmented areas, rather than the rich, massive environments seen here. It's also the first time we've been able to jump in a Bioware game, which goes a long way towards feeling like you've got power over the environment. It's a bold new direction, and it's good to see Bioware being mindful of what's made other Western RPGs so great.
