5. Gotenks

Whilst both Goten and Trunks are worthy inclusions on their own, why not include both of them with their iconic fusion Gotenks?

Gotenks is another highly important character in the world of Dragon Ball Z. As well as having a big role in the battle against Super Buu, Gotenks also introduced the concept of fusion into the Dragon Ball Universe, which would later inspire other characters into fusing.

As a fusion between Goten and Trunks (both of whom have completely different abilities), Gotenks also has a range of different techniques and abilities to choose from, such as the self-created Super Ghost Kamikaze Attack and the Galatic Donuts. Gotenks is also quite a short character, which could play into his fighting style.

The Budokai games showed exactly how Gotenks should play, whilst Xenoverse 2 made him too much of a joke character. Dragon Ball FighterZ needs to remember that he's an extremely competent warrior.

However he plays, Arc System Works just needs to make sure he actually makes some sort of appearance.
