Dragon Ball FighterZ - 10 Tips & Tricks The Game Doesn't Tell You
5. Ki Attacks Are Specific To Each Character
Learning about the light, medium and heavy attack buttons can be pretty simple, but arguably the most important of all of the buttons is the often-ranged ki attack.
This set of attacks is mapped to the X button for PlayStation and A for Xbox and does exactly what you’d expect; shooting all manners of projectile attacks.
What you might not know, however, is that most of the characters have a completely different ki attack.
Although Goku has a pretty boring string of blasts, Adult Gohan uses his ki to push back the enemy, whilst Frieza can use it as wave attack in the air, pushing back fighters. Some characters, like Piccolo, don’t even use ki energy at all - instead performing an extended grab that pulls enemies closer for further punishment.
What this should tell you is that each character is a massive collection of unique moves that you really need to learn, all the way down to their basic attacks.
